Cast Iron Roof Drains
Roof drains, or gutter-shaped drainage screens, are usually installed on roofs at floor level. Their primary function is to drain water that wets the floor or rainwater. The gutter/parabolic shape acts as a barrier to prevent debris (dry leaves, plastic waste, etc.) from entering. If you use a gutter screen that is flush with the floor, your floor will likely flood because the debris will cover the flat drainage surface.
